I admit it; I’m a tape head. There is something so magical about the sound and the listening experience. By experience, I mean screwing around with tape reels, cleaning tape paths regularly and always playing a tape entirely through (although you really only wanted to hear the first song). It is a labor of love and not for most audiophiles. But for those who are willing to inconvenience themselves a bit, the listening experience will pay dividends. We are so happy that Revox has begun building their famous A77/B77 line of tape decks and Nagra still provides the IV-S unit. Our listening room is a very special place when one of the decks is spinning. Be careful what you wish for, once you audition one you will want one.
