How do you prefer to listen to your music? Records? Streaming?
What about CD’s? Not that long ago they were go-to media for our music and all of our favorite recordings were found on Compact Disc. But something happened along the way, and it wasn’t good for CD’s. The record labels discovered it was much less expensive to create music for CD and corners began to get cut. This was followed by Philips and Sony stopped making quality drives because they could not compete with less expensive products from Asia. But these facts do not change the fact that CD’s can sound outstanding if the right equipment is used.
Not all CD players are the same. Most importantly, a player using a cheap plastic transport is doomed from the start. You must seek out high quality drives if you want high quality sound. That sound you crave also needs quality components to accompany the transport. Without a well thought out and executed design, the music you desire will be unobtainable. Very few companies make good CD players today. But that’s not to say it isn’t available, it is and it is a glorious sound.
We are a family company, managed by its proprietors. If we pose the question: why is T+A equipment so special? Then we find the answer in the following situation: we grant ourselves the freedom to implement our convictions; to focus on decades, rather than just the next quarter. It is precisely this independence of action which enables us to accomplish long-term goals. For example, we took three years to develop the first device in our HV series, and it was perfect. Our company founder loves music and technology, believes in science and the laws of physics, and always aimed to push those limits as far as possible; every single T+A device incorporates those convictions. These values will continue to be our companions for generations to come.
