About our

CD Players

How do you prefer to listen to music - records, streaming, or CDs? Not long ago, CDs were the go-to media for music. However, something happened along the way that derailed CDs. Record labels discovered that creating music for CDs was much less expensive when they cheapened the recording process. Reducing costs and not pursuing quality output forced audiophiles elsewhere. Philips and Sony stopped making quality drives because they couldn't compete with cheaper Asian products. Despite these facts, many still have large libraries of CDs and believe the format can outperform others. The trick, they say, is to use the right equipment. Not all CD players are the same. Other than a few audio companies, everyone today uses a general-purpose plastic transport made in Asia, which is designed to be used in computers, DVD players, and CD players. It is a general-purpose device with a low price point and little else to offer. Suppose you are interested in hearing your CD's full potential. You should first find one that uses an actual CD transport rather than a general-purpose drive. Interestingly, price only sometimes dictates quality. Many well-known audio companies use general-purpose Asian transports and wrap them in a beautiful case, further perpetuating the myth that CDs are not an audiophile-level medium. Instead, evaluate all CD players by starting with the simple question: What transport does it use? We offer CD players in all price ranges. And all of them use high-quality drives!

About

T+A

T+A Elektroakustik is a family-owned company that its original proprietors manage. If we ask ourselves why T+A equipment is so unique, the answer is that they have the freedom to implement their convictions and focus on long-term goals rather than just the next quarter. This independence enables them to achieve core objectives at an achievable pace with outside investors. For instance, it took three years to develop the first product in their HV series, which became a huge success. Our company founder is passionate about music and technology, believes in science and the laws of physics, and always aims to push those limits as far as possible. These values are infused into every T+A device and will continue to guide them for future generations.
