Audio cables. This is the sad truth: they do make an audible difference in the sound of your stereo, the reasons why aren’t fully known. All cable makers are faced with the same constraint: the laws of physics. Yet, each brand seems to present the music differently. Is there a right or wrong way to do it? In our opinion, not really.
There is a LOT of research done on wiring and its impact on circuitry. Unfortunately, little of it is done for the purpose of designing a better high fidelity audio cable. To researchers, an audio signal is so trivial that it isn’t worth pursuing. And to the companies that hire those researchers, it isn’t worth the investment. The audio industry is left to its own devices to create better sounding cables.
We see the cable industry in a somewhat different light: we don’t want a “flavor of the week”. We want a cable partner who bases designs on good practices and science then builds them with care and quality. Finally, we believe that the company should exist in something other than their basement. No offense, but if a bus hits a cable maker, his business needs to be in a position to carry on
Started over 25 years ago by highly focused audiophiles and engineers, Audiences' goal was to offer products that pushed music reproduction to new heights. After the release of their now famous loudspeaker, it became clear to Audience that additional products needed to be designed to achieve their goal. Audience quickly recognized that better audio and power cables were needed due to inherent weaknesses found in other offerings. The world needed audio cables that were both well executed and eliminated the inherent "coloring" other cables introduced. This was followed up with the release of power conditioners that utilized a proprietary design and in-house components which took the listening experience to new levels. After many years in business, Audience still builds its products in the United States and continues to provide unmatched service to its large customer base.
